Hi, I’m Mike.
I’m married to Jenny (we’re high school sweethearts). We have 3 boys (there is a LOT of energy in our house). We live in Northern Virginia (the lovely suburb of Burke to be exact), and we really like adventures.
I’m an Anglican priest (ACNA), and I’m so glad you’ve stopped by my website.
Here’s you’ll find some of my more recent professional work. Specifically, you’ll find:
a page with some of my preaching;
a page with some of my writing projects;
a page with Bible studies I’ve filmed during the 2020 pandemic.
a blog, which is really just personal announcements.
As for my professional background: I currently serve as the church planting pastor of Trinity Church, Burke. You can follow along with our church planting adventures by subscribing to this newsletter or on Instagram. I previously served at our sending church, Truro Anglican, from 2015 - 2023. Over the course of my tenure at Truro, I was responsible for all sorts of things ranging from kids ministry to community groups to baptism to adult discipleship. I’ve served at the diocesan level as a member of the Great Commission Committee, supporting our work of church planting, since 2017(ish).
Before moving to the DC suburbs, I served with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in San Diego and on staff at a couple San Diego Presbyterian churches leading youth and young adult ministries.
I received a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary (Pasadena), a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity University (San Antonio), and did a semester at the divinity school of The University of Aberdeen.
I believe the Gospel changes everything, that Jesus is absolutely worth following, that the Bible is worth trusting, that God forms and transforms us through the sacraments, that the Holy Spirit still speaks today, and that for some strange reason God has called a church to bear witness to His Kingdom.
